Het Behouden Blik in 40 Seasons

August 18th 2001 – August 18th 2011

On August 18th 2011 it is exactly ten years ago that museum Het Behouden Blik first opened to the public. A special moment.

For ten years now we have, by means of the so called “Seizoensblikken”, provided a center stage for a different part of our collection each season and have offered our visitors extra information and pictures. These “Seizoensblikken” provide more than a glimpse into the collection, they also picture the cultural heritage and history it represents.

You receive a glimpse into the kitchen of our society which will be recognized by many as it represents our own personal history!

To celebrate our 10^th anniversary we have published a collection of these “Seizoensblikken” in the book ”Het Behouden Blik in 40 Seasons”. The book costs EUR 7,50 and is offered for sale at Het Behouden Blik and at the VVV Tourist Information Office in Appingedam.

As we continue to present different parts of our collection every three or four months  we were able to publish part two of our Seizoensblikken in a new publication in november 2018. This book is available at the museum at the price of EUR 7,50

We look back, but also look forward to the new projects we are developing in cooperation with other museums, organizations but also with you, the visitor to our museum. It is in cooperation that we find our strength and honour our slogan:
